Prof. Canbing Li

Prof. Canbing Li is a Professor and Deputy Director of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund, the Hunan Provincial Outstanding Youth Fund, and the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program by the Ministry of Education of China. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2001 and Ph.D. in 2006 from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Applied Electronics Technology at Tsinghua University, where he completed a combined master-doctoral program. His research focuses on power system analysis and control, including power meteorology and grid-scale energy storage.
He has published over 120 SCI-indexed papers, over 100 EI-indexed papers, and holds 47 authorized invention patents. He has received two provincial/ministerial-level awards and three first prizes from national academic societies as the primary contributor. He currently admits one doctoral student and two master’s students annually and serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
